Follow the instructions in the video to make a light bulb oil lamp. It’s is fairly simple and is alot of fun to make. There are many different ways to go about making it, but this is the way that i’ve found works best. Scented oils, a different base, and different wick material are all things you can adjust to your prefernce. If you use shoe string as the wick, get some that are pure cloth. Those with any synthentic materials will melt fairly quickly. There a few things I would like to mention as the 10 minute youtube limit didn’t allow to say everything. The wick will slowly burn down to the cap, at which time you will need to pull the wick back out a bit. Also when the lamp is burnt, it lets off a smell. Just as all oil lamps do (i assume). It’s not a smoky smell. One question that you might have is about safety. Well, I tested dropping a lit light bulb oil lamp. When the lamp hit the ground, the flame went out and the oil did not light. The oil that I used is rated as ‘combustible’ and not ‘flammable’ like gasoline. This basically means that it must be hotter to ignite than gasoline. This makes it much safer. Regardless, be careful with it, as can accidents can still happen. Do not leave it unattended. Enjoy your Oil lamp!! Let me know what you think in the comments section
